10 Ambassador-designates cleared by Parliamentary Committee on High Posts

All Ambassador-designates who met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Jan. 22 have received clearance from the Parliamentary Committee on High Posts, enabling them to assume their respective diplomatic postings. Accordingly, the approved appointments are as follows : Mr. Dharshana M. Perera as High Commissioner-designate to Malaysia Mr. D.M.S.P. Dassanayake as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in Geneva (already departed) Ms. Dayani Mendis as Ambassador and Permanent Representative-designate of Sri Lanka to Austria Mr. S.P.W. Pathirana as Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to Romania (already departed) Ms. N.I.D. Paranavitana as Ambassador and Permanent Representative-designate of Sri Lanka to Ethiopia and the African Union Mr. S. K. Chandrasiri as Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to Israel Mr. Dhammika Fernando as High Commissioner-designate of Sri Lanka to Kenya Mr. Anura Withanage as Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to Lebanon Prof. Ms. M.I.
