12 Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in SL waters

The Sri Lanka Navy has seized an Indian fishing boat and apprehended 12 Indian fishermen for poaching in Sri Lankan waters south of Mannar. The arrest was made during a special naval search operation in the area. The seized boat and fishermen were subsequently handed over to the Fisheries Inspector’s office in Dikovita for legal proceedings.
