2 cops arrested over missing firearm & 10 bullets

A Police Inspector and a Police Constable have been arrested over the disappearance of a pistol and a magazine containing 10 rounds of live ammunition from the Matugama Police Station. It was revealed during a documentary audit that firearms and ammunition have been missing since Jan. 26. According to police, the missing items were listed under the custody of the Mathugama Police Sub-Service. Further investigations are underway.
