22-hour water cut scheduled for several areas in Kandy

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says a 22-hour water cut will be imposed in several areas of the Kandy District from tomorrow morning (08). Issuing a statement, the Board said that the water supply will be suspended from 6.00 a.m. tomorrow (08) until 4.00 a.m. the following day (09). Accordingly, the water supply will be interrupted in Asgiriya (Municipal Council area), Wegiriya, Pallemulla (new and old), Yatihalagala, Kondadeniya, Rajapihilla Service Reservoir, and Medawala (old) Service Reservoir areas. In addition, water supply will also be suspended in Kahawatta, Kurugoda, Bulugohothenna, Girakaduwa, Kahalla, Telambugahawatta, Nugawela, Balanagala, Medawala (new) Service Reservoir, Galagedara and Mawathagama. Meanwhile, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the public due to the water cut and has requested consumers to use water sparingly during this period.
