57 flights cancelled at BIA

A total of 57 flights scheduled to arrive at and depart from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) today (March 03) have also been cancelled due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East. Of these, 28 outbound flights from Sri Lanka and 29 inbound flights to the country have been affected. In addition, 04 flights scheduled for tomorrow (March 04) have also been cancelled. Director General of Civil Aviation and Chief Executive Officer – Captain Daminda Rambukwella, stated that flights to, from, and transiting through the Middle East remain temporarily suspended. However, he noted that a few flights were able to operate through the region earlier this morning. Details of the cancelled flights are as follows:
