84 bodies of Iranian sailors to be handed over to embassy

The bodies of 84 Iranian sailors, currently kept in 02 mobile cold storage units at the Galle National Hospital, have been ordered to be handed over to officials of the Embassy of Iran in Sri Lanka. The directive was issued this morning (March 11) by Galle Chief Magistrate Sameera Dodangoda, who ordered the hospital director to release the remains to the embassy officials. This decision follows a request submitted to the Galle Magistrate’s Court by the Galle Harbour Police.
