Former Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and former Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), Anusha Palpita, who was remanded over allegations that he accumulated assets and properties disproportionate to his declared income during a specific period, has been granted bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today (Feb. 20). Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama issued this order after considering submissions made by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) officers and attorneys representing the suspect.
