Arrest warrant issued for Asoka Ranwala

The Mahara Magistrate’s Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of former Speaker Asoka Ranwala. The warrant was issued after he failed to appear before the court in connection with a road accident that occurred on Dec. 11, 2025, in the Denimulla area of Mawaramandiya, Sapugaskanda. According to reports, the jeep driven by Ranwala was traveling from the Power House Junction towards the Galwala Junction when the incident occurred.
