Bread & baked goods up by Rs. 10

Prices of bakery goods have been increased with effect from yesterday midnight (March 23), according to the All Ceylon Bakery Owners’ Association. Accordingly, the price of a 450g loaf of bread was increased by Rs. 10 to Rs. 130 while the price of other bakery products will also be increased by Rs. 10 (March 24). The increase in prices comes after the government increased fuel prices in recent days amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
