The closing meeting of the 4th session of the 14th NPC, which is China’s top legislature, was held at the Great Hall of the People, today (March 12). The closing meeting of the NPC also brings a conclusion to the 2026 ‘Two Sessions’ of China, which is considered as the most crucial, annual political event of China. ‘Two Sessions’ is a collective term for the annual plenary sessions of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). The 14th National Committee of the CPPCC, which is China’s top political advisory body, concluded its annual session yesterday.
