Reports indicate that Chief Inspector Linton de Silva, who served as OIC of the Western Province North Crime Division, has been transferred with immediate effect. He has been transferred to the Police Medical Services Division. Meanwhile, the Western Province North Crime Division recently launched several operations to suppress underworld activities, and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rohan Olugala, who previously served as its director, was also transferred to the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Unit.
