EDB hosts CEO forum on National Export Roadmap 2026

The National Export Roadmap: CEO Forum was successfully held yesterday (March 04) at the Export Development Board (EDB) Auditorium, focusing on shaping Sri Lanka’s export strategy for 2026 and beyond. Held under the patronage of Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development – Sunil Handunnetti, the forum brought together leading private sector chairpersons and CEOs to review 2025 export performance and establish strategic goals for the coming years. During the forum, Minister Handunnetti emphasized the government’s commitment to act as the “lead investor” in infrastructure development to strengthen domestic industries. He highlighted that the government’s priority is to create a more supportive business environment for entrepreneurs through industrial zone modernization, streamlined energy supply, and provision of technological facilities. He further stressed that strengthening the economy requires collaboration between the public and private sectors. The forum was attended by senior officials, including Minister of Energy – Kumara Jayakody, Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development – Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Secretary to the Ministry – Thilaka Jayasundara, and EDB Chairman – Mangala Wijesinghe.
