The arrest was made yesterday (Feb. 19) following a complaint lodged on Dec. 30, 2026, by a Colombo-based doctor. Preliminary investigations revealed that around 07 months ago, the suspect had been attached to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today (Feb. 20). Further investigations are underway by a team under the instructions of the Director of the Central Crime Investigation Bureau, Senior Superintendent of Police Kamal Ariyawansa.
