GMOA to withdraw from health data reporting from Feb. 18

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has announced its decision to withdraw from the reporting of health data with effect from February 18. The GMOA says it has decided to intensify its ongoing TU action, stating that the government has failed to provide an adequate response to its concerns. They add that they would refrain from submitting information to the Ministry of Health regarding community health activities carried out under the intervention and direct supervision of Medical Officers of Health. The GMOA further notes that it would suspend supervisory duties related to staff engaged in community health services as part of its escalated action.
