Gun attack on SJB candidate!

A shooting targeting a candidate nominated by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) for the Kalutara Municipal Council failed last night (07). The incident involved Mr Bandula Prasanna, a candidate contesting the Kalutara Municipal Council election from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya party. It is reported that a similar shooting was carried out targeting him around nine months ago as well, which also proved unsuccessful. Police stated that during inspections at the scene of the shooting, a live round used for pistols and a mobile phone were found lying on the ground.
