IMF delegation to arrive in SL today

A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to arrive in the country today (March 26) as confirmed by the Director of the Communications Department of the IMF, Julie Kozack. The IMF team will remain in Sri Lanka until April 09 to hold policy discussions with the aim to complete the combined Fifth and Sixth reviews under Sri Lanka’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement. During the visit, the IMF delegation will hold discussions with Sri Lanka authorities on economic policies, and the potential impact of the Middle East conflict on the economy. According to Kozack, an updated assessment of Sri Lanka’s economy and how the IMF can best support Sri Lanka will be made following the IMF team visit.
