India storm into 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final

The India national cricket team qualified for the final of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after defeating the England cricket team by 07 runs last night (March 05). The semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai saw England chase a formidable 254-run target set by India. In response, England managed 246 runs for the loss of 07 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. During the chase, Jacob Bethell produced an aggressive knock of 105 runs off 48 deliveries, taking the match down to the final over. His innings included 07 sixes and 08 fours. With this victory, India has qualified for the T20 World Cup final for the second consecutive time. India thus becomes the third nation to reach back-to-back T20 World Cup finals after Pakistan (2007, 2009) and Sri Lanka (2012, 2014).
