2026-03-18 - 05:03

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Israel – Nimal Bandara, states that the validity of re-entry visas of foreign workers has been extended until April 30, 2026. Quoting Moshe Nakas, head of the Foreign Workers Administration in Israel, the Ambassador notes in a Facebook post that accordingly, re-entry visas that are due to expire during the month of April, will be extended until April 30, 2026. “In line with this decision, foreign workers in all sectors who have left Israel and were issued a re-entry visa (“Inter-Visa”) in advance, and whose visas have expired or will expire between 28 February 2026 and 21 April 2026 (inclusive), will have their visas automatically extended in the Population and Immigration Authority’s computerized system until 30 April 2026, without the need to apply to the Authority – provided that the worker is currently outside Israel and departed with such a visa,”
