Jinthupitiya shooting: another gunman arrested

Police have arrested another gunman in connection with the shooting that took place on Jan. 16 in Jinthupitiya, within the Foreshore Police Division. Police said the suspect was apprehended in the Udawalawa area following a tip-off received by officers of the Colombo Central Divisional Crimes Investigation Bureau. The arrested suspect has been identified as a 25-year-old resident of Kolambage Ara, Udawalawa, police said. Meanwhile, another suspect who had also acted as a gunman in connection with the same shooting was arrested on March 03. Further investigations are underway.
