Keheliya’s elder daughter released on bail

Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga Bodaragama ordered that Chamithri Rambukwella, the elder daughter of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who was arrested and produced before court by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, be released on two surety bails of five million rupees each. This order was issued after she was produced before the magistrate’s chambers this afternoon (06). She had been arrested in connection with allegations of aiding and abetting the laundering of funds unlawfully earned by former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
