Large number of new recruitments to the Sri Lanka Police

According to Gazette Extraordinary No. 2482 dated 27 March 2026, new recruitments are to be made to the Sri Lanka Police and the Police Special Task Force for the posts of Trainee Police Constable, Woman Police Constable, and Police Constable Driver. It is stated that preparations are underway to recruit approximately 7,500 new officers, covering the entire island, including the Northern and Eastern Provinces. Applicants are required to submit their applications online by visiting www.police.lk and selecting the “Join Us” option, or by scanning the relevant QR code and accessing the application form. Applications must be completed and submitted online on or before 8 May 2026.
