Mainly dry and warm weather expected in most parts of the island

Showers or thundershowers are expected at several locations in the Sabaragamuwa Province and in the districts of Colombo, Kalutara, Galle and Matara after 2.00 p.m. today (29), the Department of Meteorology said. The department added that mainly dry and warm weather conditions will prevail across other parts of the island. Misty conditions can be expected during the early morning hours in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts. The general public has been advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
