Mainly fair weather will prevail over most parts of the island today (Feb. 27), the Department of Meteorology said. Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Southern Province and in Rathnapura and Monaragala districts after 2.00 p.m. Misty conditions can be expected at several places on the island during the early hours of the morning.
