MV Crystal Symphony cruise ship arrives in Trinco

The cruise ship ‘MV Crystal Symphony’, carrying 555 tourists from various countries, docked yesterday (Feb. 23) at Ashroff Jetty in Trincomalee Port, which belongs to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. Tourists from countries including Australia, India, and the United States disembarked in Trincomalee, and arrangements were made for them to visit local attractions such as Trincomalee, Sigiriya, and Habarana. The ship, registered in the Bahamas, has a crew of 497. The tourists will spend a day touring Trincomalee. Tourism officials noted that the arrival of these visitors to Trincomalee, a key hub in the Eastern Province, is expected to provide a significant boost to the region’s tourism sector.
