No shortage of chicken  during the festive season

The Sri Lanka Association of Animal Producers states that steps have been taken to ensure a continuous supply of chicken meat to the market during the festive season, without any shortages. Its Chairman, Mr Ajith Gunasekara, said that although there had been a risk of prices increasing due to the ongoing fuel crisis, plans have been made to maintain the price at around Rs. 1,250. He further noted that global animal feed prices have risen sharply in the international market.
