Notice regarding train delays on the Coastal Railway Line

The Department of Railways has announced that trains operating on the Coastal Line during the morning and evening peak hours today (31) and tomorrow (01) may be delayed by approximately 15 minutes. The Department states that these delays are due to essential upgrades being carried out to the signalling system in order to increase the number of trains that can be operated on the up and down lines between Colombo Fort and Wellawatte railway stations. The Department of Railways regrets any inconvenience that may be caused to train passengers as a result.
