President AKD meets Indian PM Modi

A special meeting was held between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday (Feb. 18). The meeting took place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi during President Dissanayake’s visit to India to attend the India-AI Impact Summit 2026. According to the President’s Media Division, the President also attended a special state banquet hosted by Prime Minister Modi. President Dissanayake departed the country on Feb. 17 at the invitation of the Indian Prime Minister to participate in the 05-day summit and is scheduled to address the gathering today. The India-AI Impact Summit 2026 is being held in New Delhi with the participation of Heads of State and leading global technology leaders, aiming to promote the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the benefit of humanity. The summit is attended by 20 world leaders and representatives from more than 45 nations.
