Pvt. bus strike on Hanwella – Pettah route

Private bus operators on route 143 – Hanwella to Pettah have commenced a strike. It’s reportedly linked to a dispute concerning passenger boarding with the staff of the Kaduwela-Colombo bus service. The Western Provincial Road Passenger Transport Authority (WPRPTA) Chairman – Gamini Jayasinghe, stated that the parties involved have been called for a discussion. He added that following this discussion, any further action will be determined based on the outcome.
