Renovations of Pettah Central Bus Terminal to be completed by mid-April

Renovation of the Pettah Central Bus Terminal, which is currently being carried out with the support of the Sri Lanka Air Force as part of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ National Programme. The project is scheduled for completion within the first 02 weeks of April. The renovation is being implemented under the direction of the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development, with a total cost of Rs. 424 million. The terminal, which comprises 02 main terminals, is being upgraded with the following facilities: Ground floor: Bus parking area Second floor: Rest areas for drivers and conductors Third floor: Administrative and operational offices Meanwhile, a new information centre will also be established within the premises to provide the public with details on all modes of transport, including bus, railway, and air services.
