A complaint has been lodged with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) concerning the purchase of a residence near Musaeus College, Colombo, on April 05, 2013, in the name of Shiranthi Rajapaksa – wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. The complaint alleges that the property was purchased using Rs. 35 million from the ‘Siriliya’ Organization’s bank account with documents indicating the fact. The complaint calls for a formal investigation, citing suspicions of a corrupt deal.
