The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the State of Qatar, Sithara Khan, has issued a special message to Sri Lankans residing in the country amid ongoing uncertainties in the Middle East. The Ambassador urged Sri Lankans living and working in Qatar to exercise caution, remain calm, and act responsibly. She emphasized the importance of following safety instructions issued by the Ministry of Interior, Qatar, and moving immediately to secure locations when advised. Given the potential risk of debris or falling objects, she advised avoiding crowded and open areas. The Ambassador also highlighted the need for responsible communication, urging Sri Lankans to rely solely on verified official news sources and refrain from spreading unconfirmed information. The Qatari government remains committed to ensuring the safety of residents and providing essential supplies and health services without disruption, she noted.
