Special advisory issued for Sri Lankans in Israel

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel has advised Sri Lankans residing there to remain constantly vigilant in view of the heightened security situation across the Middle East. Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Israel Nimal Bandara has emphasised that Israeli security forces are fully prepared to handle any potential emergencies and that the Israeli Ministry of Defence continuously updates information and guidance. In the event of a missile attack, alerts will be sent to all smart mobile phones, and upon the sounding of sirens, individuals are advised to seek shelter in the nearest secure location. The Embassy further stated that, considering the current situation, it will remain open today (31) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., during which routine consular services can be conducted.
