Sri Lankan and Israeli Foreign Ministers hold discussions

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath says he held discussions with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar to ensure the safety of Sri Lankan workers in Israel. In a post on his X account, the Minister stated that assurances were received during the discussion regarding the safety of Sri Lankan workers in the country. The statement noted that protecting Sri Lankan citizens living abroad remains a top priority, and that the discussion was held to ensure the safety of more than 29,000 Sri Lankans currently residing in Israel.
