Tilvin meets Kerala CM

General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) – Tilvin Silva, currently on an official visit to India at the invitation of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), met with the Chief Minister of Kerala – Pinarayi Vijayan and several state ministers yesterday (Feb. 11) in Thiruvananthapuram. Silva also held discussions with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) – M. A. Baby, and other Central Committee representatives. The talks focused on Kerala’s initiatives in public welfare, achieving 100% literacy, and measures to eradicate extreme poverty. Both parties explored avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Sri Lanka and expand collaboration across various sectors for mutual development. The delegation included the General Secretary of the Inter-Company Employees’ Union Janaka Adhikari, MPs Karunananthan Elankumaran and Kittinan Selvarajah, Hemathilaka Gamage from the party’s media unit; and Attorney-at-Law Kalpana Madhubhashini, a member of the JVP’s International Committee.
