Trump imposes another global tax!

US President Donald Trump has announced a new 10% tax on global imports. This new tax, which takes effect immediately, was imposed by Trump following a Supreme Court ruling against his tariff policy. The ruling held that the global trade tariffs unilaterally imposed by President Trump violated federal law. By a 6–3 majority, the Supreme Court held that Trump had exceeded his executive authority by imposing tariffs under legislation reserved for national emergencies. However, criticising the Supreme Court’s decision, Trump described the ruling as “terrible” while announcing the new tax. He also labelled the judges who rejected his trade policy as “fools”.
