Women’s T20 World Cup schedule announced

The match schedule for the Women’s Twenty20 World Cup cricket tournament, scheduled to be held in England and Wales, was released today (24) by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The tournament will feature 12 teams, including Sri Lanka, and the preliminary round will be contested in two groups, Group A and Group B. Group A will comprise Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Netherlands. Group B will include West Indies, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Scotland. The tournament will begin on 12 June, with the opening match featuring the host nation England against Sri Lanka. The final will be played on 5 July at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
